Shin Splints

Shin splints, or medial tibial stress syndrome, cause pain along the inner edge of the shinbone. They commonly come from repetitive stress during running, walking, or jumping sports, and can be made worse by sudden increases in activity, flat feet, or overpronation. FootTek custom orthotics provide arch support and stability that may reduce stress on the lower legs. Proper training adjustments and recovery remain important.

Achilles Tendonitis

Achilles tendonitis is irritation of the tendon connecting your calf muscles to your heel bone. It can cause pain, stiffness, or tenderness at the back of the heel, especially with your first steps in the morning, on stairs, or after exercise. FootTek custom orthotics add arch support, cushioning, or heel modifications to help manage tendon loading and improve comfort. Rehabilitation and activity changes are still important for recovery.

Posterior Tibial Tendonitis (PTT)

Posterior tibial tendonitis affects the tendon along the inside of the ankle that helps support your arch. It can cause pain, swelling, and tenderness in the inner ankle and arch, and over time may contribute to a flattening arch. FootTek custom orthotics provide supportive arch control and stability to reduce strain on the tendon. Depending on severity, additional support or medical bracing may be needed.

Sports Injuries

Running, basketball, tennis, hiking, and other sports can lead to foot and lower-leg problems such as plantar fasciitis, ankle sprains, Achilles pain, shin splints, and forefoot pain. FootTek custom sports orthotics are designed around your foot structure, activity, and footwear to add arch support, cushioning, and stability. Orthotics complement appropriate injury treatment and rehabilitation, not replace it.

Overuse Injuries

Overuse injuries develop when muscles, tendons, bones, or joints take repeated stress without enough recovery time. They’re common in runners, long-distance walkers, and people who stand all day, and can include plantar fasciitis, shin splints, Achilles tendinopathy, and metatarsalgia. FootTek custom orthotics help distribute pressure more evenly during repetitive activity. Recovery, footwear, and activity adjustments remain essential.

Foot & Ankle Injuries

Falls, twists, sports, and accidents can cause ankle sprains, tendon strains, ligament injuries, and stress fractures, and some people have lingering discomfort or reduced stability after healing. After appropriate medical treatment and recovery, FootTek custom orthotics may add support, cushioning, and stability. They are not a substitute for medical assessment, immobilization, or rehabilitation when needed.

Foot Fatigue (Tired & Achy Feet)

Foot fatigue is the tired, achy, heavy feeling that builds after long hours of standing, walking, or activity. It’s common among healthcare workers, retail employees, teachers, and active people, and flat feet, high arches, or unsupportive footwear can add to it. FootTek custom orthotics provide arch support, cushioning, and better pressure distribution to help your feet feel better through the end of the day.
